ChiYoWo Summer Camp Programme Ended with Training on Public Speaking
The ChiYoWo Summer Camp Programme, which started on Monday, August 11, 2025, ended yesterday, Thursday, August 14, 2025, with a training session on public speaking. This engaging programme brought together children from three schools in Lagos: Great Tulip School, Master’s Mind Lead School, and Nifty Step School. The children were taught valuable skills on how to gain confidence while speaking in front of an audience, how to engage with the audience, and how to ensure clarity in their speech.

ChiYoWo Summer Camp Programme: Children Participate in Read Aloud Session
Still basking in the euphoria of the Movie Analysis that commenced the ChiYoWo Summer Camp Programme on Monday, the children arrived today very elated for the second day’s programme, tagged Read Aloud Session. The session aimed to encourage and inspire the children to read books aloud with clarity in front of people and share the lessons learned.

The students’ performance was intriguing, especially when they read about “Why Some Animals Are Domesticated” from a book titled “Tell Me Why”. It was interesting to watch the children engaging in constructive arguments, and a big thank you to the teachers who guided the process.

The Day 2 programme was made more engaging with a blindfolding game that taught the children the importance of seeking knowledge and understanding. The game illustrated that a person without knowledge is like a blindfolded person, struggling to reach their destination.

Special thanks to Anthonia Oniwinde and Ms. Ogunyemi Oremide for lending their voices and inspiring the children to embrace reading as a tool for excellence.
